Summer in Buenos Aires is great for exactly this reason- free live music, all summer long.
This month there is a great variety of local and international flavor- ranging anywhere from the classic Argentinean folklore of Horacio Guarany, to the Argentinean rock-power pop of Catupecu Machu. All shows are open air, in well maintained parks or ampitheatres, and of course, completely free of charge. This is a great chance to familiarize yourself with music you most likely wont be able to hear anywhere else- at least not “en vivo”. So grab a towel, suncreen and bottled water and enjoy the climate with some free great music!

At the BA Goverment web site (www.buenosaires.gov.ar) you will find all the info, but there is a pdf file to download. There are newspapers as well, you might find them in big museums or cultural centers.
I’m not sure this concerts are going to happen in February as well, but be sure we will publishing all this kind of events.
