Pioneers of Change - Global Journey

December 1st to 8th 2007, Brazil

“An Invitation to Experience Sustainable Communities in Brasil”
An INVITATION to step forward A transformative EXPERIENCE Understand SUSTAINABILITY Belonging to a COMMUNITY makes the difference

In previous years known as “Summer School”, our global gathering this year will take place in springtime in Brasil and will…
…serve as an inspirational and empowering springboard for people wishing to lead authentic pioneer lives;
…strengthen and refresh those who have already made the choice for pioneering change;
…provoke the ones who haven’t had the courage yet;
…make us all dig into the quest of what REALLY matters?

Join other young practitioners from around the world to explore the value of sustainable communities. Get inspired. Make connections. Share your experiences. Develop your skills.

Accommodation and the main activities of the Global Journey will take place in the small village of Mury, surrounded by the Atlantic Forest.

The site is distant 140 km from Rio de Janeiro International airport and 7 km from the city of Nova Friburgo.

Transportation airport/Mury/airport will be provided on the days and times agreed with participants.

“The ‘Help Wanted’ signs are everywhere. All people and institutions, including commerce, governments, schools, churches and cities, need to learn from life and reimagine the world from the bottom up, based first on principles of justice and ecology.” Paul Hawken

    You can let us know about your event on WiserEarth.org, a project which Paul Hawken is working on. It’s a massive database of ngos and nonprofits around the world working on social justice and the environment. It’s also a free place to post jobs, events and resources from around the world. When you post your event, you can tag it with some of the 400 areas of focus so that you could network with users near you who might be interested in your event.
