Dog walker, a common sight in Buenos Aires

This is a typical street image in Buenos Aires.

Walking in a group is for dogs very natural, a must is that the dogwalker is a natural leader and has a special effection for dogs, is fiscally able to handle little problems in the group and leads them (mostly by voice) safely through town. Don’t be suprised of the size of the group of dogs, it can be be up to 20….it’s a job!

The dog-walker starts in the morning to collect his first dog and this is the lucky one, most of the time it will be the last to deliver after about 4 hours outside, before the dog-walker goes home. In this 4 hours working day, he or she is collecting the rest of the dogs, whom mostly are very happy to get out and meet their friend-dogs and go to the park to play a game or have a chat or just sit in the sun next to a tree.

“You are livin’ like a dog ” doesn’t seems to be an awful life…
