You can’t miss it: in every concert, so much tango is waiting to be discovered.From February 24th to March 4th, on the occasion of the IX Buenos Aires Tango Festival, the best tango teachers and professors will be holding a series of classes and seminars covering the most assorted aspects and specific areas of tango.Some of them will cover their subjects throughout three classes; others will do so in one lesson. The seminars have been designed as thematic units, expanding their contents in each new class. Sexteto Mayor is playing at Confiteria Ideal!
The Sexteto Mayor were a sextet formed by six of Pugliese’s best musicians. Formed in the lean years of the late 1960s, they initially remained part of the Pugliese orchestra before separating completely around 1968.
The music is definitely not Pugliese lite, but has its own style which has established them as firm favourites. Despite this they are seldom played for dancing.
